Why are the items displayed in that order?
ShoppingTrader displays ads in two (2) sections:
- In each category, the top five ads are “Enhanced Listed Ads”, which have been upgraded to enhance their display via the Bidding Tool - the more money spent, the higher on the display list
- The top five “Enhanced Listed Ads” (ie the most expensive ads on the site) are also displayed on the Home Page
- So no matter what is being sold, and whatever the basic cost of the ad, it can top the list if the seller spends enough on promotions in the Bidding section.
- The remaining ads are the normal classified listings. These are sorted by:
- Age
- Level of advert (ie features and photos will result in higher placement)
As with real estate, in which the three basic rules are “Position, position and position”, higher placement on the list is worth spending extra money for.

How do I navigate Listing Pages?
At the top of each ad listing, you will see a navigation bar something like this:
PAGE 1 OF 4 FIRST · 1 · 2 · 3 · 4 · · NEXT · LAST
The left side tells us the page number of the current display, and gives the total number of pages.
The right side lets the viewer jump easily to the First, Next or Last pages, or any particular page in between.

What Is My Short List?
